“My goal is to help my patients set realistic goals and expectations in order to determine what treatments will meet both their short and long-term needs and desires. It is important to me that my patients are very satisfied with their results.”

You have one face. And sometimes, no matter how hard you try, no matter how well you eat or how often you exercise; you cannot completely avoid the inevitable process that comes with aging. Even in those who seem as though they never age the way ‘normal’ people do, their skin will eventually begin to lose elasticity, and they too will endure the unfortunate process of deterioration in their bones and tissue. This does not have to be the case with YOUR face.

If there is anyone that North Texas residents can trust, it is nationally known facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Gregory D. Roberts. Not only is Dr. Roberts certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology, but he trained exclusively in surgery of the face, head and neck and has perfected and refined a face lift technique, known as the “Scarless” Face Lift, which focuses on allowing patients to recover from surgery with virtually no visible scarring. The “Scarless” Face Lift involves a series of surgical methods and meticulous precision that assists in restoring more natural, youthful facial features with virtually imperceptible signs of surgical intervention. Dr. Roberts also offers his patients Laser Liposuction procedures with Dual Wavelength SlimLipo as well as several other minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Roberts is a native Texan who was raised in Irving. He is known for his down-to-earth, engaging personality and his open honesty. Dr. Roberts’ genuine interest in helping people shines through. His patients feel comfortable with him and his staff. He always has his patient’s best interest at heart.

“I look forward to sitting down with new patients in a friendly one-on-one consultation,” Dr. Roberts said. “ Some have a specific need, for example, they know they want to have nose surgery or to get their eyelids done. Others ask me, ‘ What should I do?’ If we’re exploring Facial Rejuvenation, I’ll ask them to bring in a few pictures of when they were younger.  We discuss options, look at pictures of my work, and talk candidly about realistic expectations for the outcome and recovery. This allows patients to make an educated decision on their treatment plan, while taking their ultimate goals and resources into consideration.”

Patients of Dr. Roberts appreciate the fact that he only recommends the procedures they actually need rather than recommend having added treatments or procedures that is needed or wanted. He treats everyone equally with attentive courtesy and respect, whether they’re seeing him for injectable dermal fillers or total facial rejuvenation.

Dr. Roberts is happy to share his own experience of Facial Cosmetic Surgery with his patients. “I’ve been there.” Dr. Roberts confided. “When I was thirteen my nose was broken. I wasn’t happy about its size to begin with and the break made it look worse. Plus, I had a deviated septum. Nasal Surgery made a huge difference not only aesthetically and functionally, but in how I felt about myself. I’ve also had my lower eyelids done. Patients would comment that I looked tired when I was completely rested. After both procedures, I was exhilarated! It honestly felt better than buying a new car or anything else I could have done!”

Dr. Roberts also receives Botox® Cosmetic injections. “I can say from personal experience that the results from Botox are exciting, more so than buying new clothing or a new piece of golf equipment. When you look your best, you just feel great!”

While discussing his own personal experiences with cosmetic procedures, Dr. Roberts added that a growing number of his patients are men. He explained, “It’s a competitive business world and many people, both men and women, have extended careers. They want to retain their competitive edge, and a youthful appearance can play a significant role. We have developed some really great surgical techniques for men and I’m noticing that men are beginning to talk more openly about their cosmetic experiences. There’s no stigma attached to cosmetic surgery in today’s culture.”

“In the past, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons simply eliminated excess facial skin and pulled over the remaining skin in order to make it tighter. I think that it is safe to say ‘Thank Goodness’ times have changed! My one guiding principle is that my patient’s cosmetic surgery looks natural,” said Dr. Roberts. “You should look refreshed and well-rested, never pulled.” Dr. Roberts takes the time necessary with his “scarless” facelift technique to meticulously place and close incisions, helping his patients’ incisions appear virtually invisible, as well as helping to minimize bruising and quicken the healing process. Dr. Roberts and his staff are thorough and attentive before and after surgery, making sure each patient understands the procedure and recovery time.

Many of Dr. Roberts’ patients also find pleasing results with a Non-Surgical Face Lift alternative known as a Liquid Face Lift. Adding volume to the face with a Liquid Face Lift can be done alone, or in conjunction with a Face Lift, and restores natural, youthful volume and contours. Dr. Roberts appreciates that each patient is a unique individual with specific needs and expectations. “I like to spend time with each patient discussing options and determining what will produce the best and most consistent results to fit the patient’s goals and desires,” he said.

Dr. Roberts patients also like to share their results from their cosmetic and surgical procedures. For instance, KM readily shares that she was not going to sit back and fully embrace the aging process.  She sought help of Dr. Roberts in order to improve her appearance. After viewing some of his online images, she decided that this was the type of professional care she wanted to receive. “That spoke volumes to me,” she explained. During her consultation Dr. Roberts recommended upper and lower Blepharoplasty (Eye Lifts) as well as a Mini Face Lift. “I inherited drooping eyes from my dad, and the sagging jowls came from my mother. But, Dr. Roberts has completely changed that for me! Now I get comments even from strangers about how good my skin looks. Only my close friends know what I’ve had done, but I feel dramatically different. It’s helped my confidence and I’m definitely more comfortable when I’m face-to-face with people.”

Another patient, JT, shares that at age 51, though she worked hard at staying in shape she could not stop the aging process fully. She noticed that her jowls began to sag, as well as her neck. “When I realized that I no longer wore my hair pulled back, I decided that it was time to do something to look more youthful, she states. “I decided to have a mini face lift and I am thrilled with my results. People comment on how pretty my skin is. The result was not overdone and perfect for me! Dr. Roberts listened to my concerns and met the desired outcome that I wanted. I would definitely do it again!”

While a mini-facelift helped JT, another patient JR decided to have a face lift, brow lift and and a lower blepharoplasty at age 52. “Before my surgery, I looked tired and my jowl area and the skin around my mouth sagged,” she shares. “Dr. Roberts spent a lot of time explaining everything to me and answering my questions. In the office at my consultation, I saw a woman who had had a face lift the day before and I could not see the incisions since they were in her hairline. Two weeks after my surgery, I wore my hair back in a pony tail. A week after that, I attended a work conference and no one could tell that I had just had surgery. My results are so natural and I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Roberts and his staff!”

If your goal is to have smoother, clearer skin tone and texture, Skin Resurfacing with advanced lasers such as D.O.T. or Fraxel® can be a tremendous help, as well. For patients seeking more comprehensive Facial Rejuvenation, Dr. Roberts might recommend an R-Lift, which integrates a “Scarless” Face Lift (or another type of Cosmetic Surgery), as well as a Liquid Face Lift and Fractional Laser Resurfacing. “An R-Lift essentially blends the three R’s of Facial Rejuvenation,” said Dr. Roberts, “Repositioning (drooping skin), Revolumizing (flattened facial features) and Repairing (sun damaged skin).”

“There’s a tremendous amount of satisfaction that comes along with my work,” he said. “Seeing patients get positive results from their procedure, as well as seeing their renewed confidence, and then hearing the reaction of others in their lives is very fulfilling.”

“If you’re in your late 30s or early 40s, chances are that the problem is primarily loss of volume. You don’t need to pull everything up, you just need to fill up the volume to achieve a lifted, refreshed appearance,” Dr. Roberts explained. “In a treatment that takes less than an hour, I can erase years from a patient’s face with little to no downtime afterward.  Fillers can also change the facial dynamic and proportions. For example, a square face with flat cheeks can look more heart-shaped and feminine with filler appropriately applied to the apple of the cheek.”
